The MP44 was the very first assault rifle - when this was originally manufactured in 1944, (Hence MP44), Hitler initially wanted to alter the firing systems for his current weapons, but was so impressed with this gun, he made it the new standard issue rifle for his Nazis.

Many people comment that this looks like an AK47 - well thats because it practically is. When the Russians took Gemany, they took the designs of this and altered it in 1947 and created the famous Russian AK47. All I can say for this gun is that its an almost perfect replica of the MP44 and is without a doubt, one of the best rifles I have ever used.
