Real Steel History:
The amazing designer Frantisek Koucky made the CZ M75. He was influenced by famous pistols of the time, but he made a lot of changes to the way they were made. The M75 was first made for the Czech police. It was smaller and lighter than a regular M1911, and the slide went into the frame for easier cocking and a stronger build.
It's clear from the name that the 75D Compact is smaller than the original M75. Because it's smaller, the gun is lighter and easier to carry.
